Backyard Critters Camp

Week 6: Backyard Critters

About the Camp

Backyard Critters Week at Bobcat Explorers Camp invites campers to discover the creatures that share their outdoor world through hands‑on exploration and curiosity‑driven activities. Each day offers fun opportunities to observe insects and other animals, study habitats, and learn how different critters help our environment, all while enjoying classic camp adventures. By the end of the week, campers leave with new knowledge, confidence, and a deeper appreciation for the nature around them. This week is in collaboration with GCSU Academic Outreach.

As part of the Bobcat Explorers program, children have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in a specific area of interest while building skills through expert instruction on the Georgia College & State University campus. Each week also includes engaging recreational activities, refreshing pool time, and creative arts and crafts—creating a balanced camp experience that blends meaningful skill development with classic summer fun and lasting memories.
