Ages 9-10 and placement
This is a beginning jazz dance class designed to introduce young dancers to foundational jazz techniques while encouraging creativity and self-expression. Each class begins with a dynamic warm-up that incorporates stretches and playful movements to enhance flexibility and coordination. Students learn popular jazz dance styles through engaging routines set to upbeat music, which helps develop their rhythm and musicality.
The curriculum includes a mix of traditional jazz steps and fun choreography, including a isolations, jazz walks, grapevine, jazz square, jazz slide, pivot turn, pas de bourrée, and pirouettes. This class is for all incoming students ages 9-10 and returning students placed in this level.
