The Department of Theatre and Dance offers an inclusive program of dance instruction for children and adults throughout the year. We provide a diverse range of classes in creative movement, classical ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and musical theatre for ages 3 and up. The dance curriculum instills a solid understanding of proper technique and terminology, culminating in two annual performances.
The program’s award-winning show, "The Nutcracker," in December and the Spring Dance Concert in May are family friendly productions based on age-appropriate music, choreography, and costumes. Director Natalie King is a highly qualified movement educator with an MFA degree in dance. Instructing alongside her are accomplished Georgia College & State University undergraduate dance students.
