We are excited to offer a variety or fine arts programs! We have GCSU faculty, staff, and students as well as local community members who are experts in their crafts and willing to share with the community.

    This is a class for movers getting started or revisiting ballet again as an adult. Dancers are introduced to fundamentals in classical ballet technique, including basic positions of the feet and arms, and vocabulary such as: parallel first, first position, second position, demi-plié, tendu. Students focus on alignment while performing progressions at the barre, center work, and across the floor to develop body awareness, coordination, flexibility, strength, and music concepts.

    This class is for ages 18+ only.

    Join us at noon on Thursdays from 12:15 to 1 p.m. at Chappell Hall Dance Studio for a wonderful way to get in shape for 2026! Line dancing is so much fun, and great exercise! All you have to do is change your shoes to join us! Easy and fun dance steps to the most popular songs from country, oldies, and contemporary music. All levels of fitness are welcome.

  • Band Instrument Repair Continuing Education Course:  June 11-13, 2026

    This is a hands-on course focusing on a basic mechanical understanding of each wind instrument in the band. Focusing on a “if that, then what?” mindset, our instructor will expand upon the directors’ given understanding of wind instruments, demonstrate the mechanisms and how they work and explain this all from a repair viewpoint. All woodwind and brass wind instruments will be covered as well as basic nomenclature of keys/mechanisms and easy adjustments. 

    “Quick fixes” and what NOT to do when repairing will also be addressed. The class covers how to use the tools and supplies from the repair kits.
